Connecting (and re-connecting) Splats
After selecting your profile in the app, you will be prompted to connect your Splats. Any turned-on, non-connected Splats will appear on the connection screen. Simply tap on the Splats to connect. Each Splat will light up with the Splat number they are assigned after connection
(If a Splat you want to connect does not have the spinning red light, turn it off and on again. Splats go into battery-saver mode after 10 minutes.)
When you are done connecting, press continue.
Your coding screen will show a green Splat next to each connected Splat. Press the ID button again to confirm which Splats are connected.
Connecting from the Coding Screen
You can also connect Splats directly from the coding screen!
Select the number of Splats that you need in the upper left-hand of the screen.
Press the plus-sign next to the virtual Splat you would like to connect.
Tap on the ID button to confirm which Splat is which.
Connecting on the Web App
There’s a slightly different connection screen on Chromebooks and laptops using Chrome.
After selecting a profile, you will be prompted to connect Splats.
Click on the first Splat to bring up the connection window. Any available Splats will appear there. Select a Splat and click Pair to connect. Repeat this process with the other Splat icons.
Tips and Tricks: Connecting Multiple Splats to Multiple Devices
There is no one way to connect Splats in a classroom, but our Connection Guide (below) shows two of our favorite ways.
Which is which?
Unsure which of your connected Splats is which? Press the ID button next to the Run button in the upper left-hand corner. The LEDs in your Splats will light up to match their Splat number on the app—Splat 1 will have one LED lit up, Splat 2 will have two LEDs, etc. You can also press the green number next to each Splat to have that Splat momentarily light up green.
